BioInformatics in Torun 2026
BioInformatics in Torun 2026
18-20 June 2026
Welcome
Polish Bioinformatics Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Bioinformatyczne / PTBI) and Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun welcome you to the 25th annual conference "BioInformatics in Torun – BIT26". The 2026 conference will be held in Torun - the charming medieval Hanseatic town in central Poland. We plan to hold this meeting in a personal mode, but some lectures will be streamed on the web.
This year BIT26 has a leitmotif "Computer modeling in Bio and Med worlds. ML, AI, MD, and other approaches" and will be devoted mainly, but not exclusively, to:
- Applications of Artificial Inteligence and Machine Learning, both in biophysics and bioinformatics
- Impact of AlphaFold on the future
- New algorithms and methods
- Biophysics-based studies of biomolecules
- Genes analysis and –omics
The conference will start after lunch on June 18 (Thursday) and will end around lunchtime on June 20 (Saturday). On Saturday, hands-on workshops in biophysics/bioinformatics are planned.
We would like to discuss all aspects of bioinformatics research closely or remotely related to biophysics-based phenomena, including brain and neuroinformatics, molecular diseases, neural networks, cancer, etc. The important session will be devoted to searching for new research areas where the bioinformatics approach can contribute.
See you in Toruń! :-)
