BioInformatics in Torun – BIT17

Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and the Polish Bioinformatics Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Bioinformatyczne / PTBI) welcome you to the 17th annua conference “BioInformatics in Torun – BIT17”. As every year, 2017 conference will be held in Torun - the charming medieval hanseatic town in Poland.

This year BIT17 will address all branches of bioinformatics, but special attention will be devoted to BIG DATA in bioinformatics
or biomedicine. The conference will start after lunch on June 22 (Thursday) and will end around lunch time on June 24 (Saturday).

Saturday will be devoted mostly to hands-on workshops in bioinformatics.

PTBI (Polskie Towarzystwo Bioinformatyczne, or PBS: Polish Bioinformatics Society) is a non-profit organization of bioinformaticians and computational biologists with links to Poland. Most of the PTBI members are located in Poland, but we also have foreign members and Polish scientists working temporarily or permanently abroad. PTBI is involved in various activities, including organization of conferences, workshops, and annual contests for the best MSc and PhD theses in bioinformatics.
